However, it is too early to say exactly what effect the delay in the fall of sterling will have on UK plastics processors and distributors, according to Fergus Hardie, managing director of Hardie Polymers. "The danger is that rising raw material costs, which can make up to 50% of the component price may outweigh the benefit of a lower export sales cost for the finished product," he says.
