We read with interest this report on the various manifestations of urethral stricture. In this retrospective analysis, the authors found that almost 25% of men do not have lower urinary tract symptoms or urinary retention as their presenting complaint. The authors have highlighted the various presentations of urethral stricture in an attempt to define the clinical essence of this illness for patient-centered measures to evolve. Because their study was from an economically advanced country, many presentations of urethral stricture were not reported for this cohort.
