Oregon not granting Ambre grant money

The Oregon Transportation Commission has reaffirmed its decision not to fund a $2 million grant that would have supported Ambre Energy's plan to construct the $242 million Morrow Pacific coal export project on the Columbia River. The Port of St. Helens submitted a request for the grant money under the ConnectOregon program. The funds would have helped to pay to reconstruct Berth No. 2 at the port's Beaver Dock site. Late last year, the transportation commission voted not to fund the project, but was asked to reconsider.
