Cloud Peak Energy says production for 2013 expects to be down over 4 million tons

Cloud Peak Energy said shipments from the company's three operated mines for the fourth quarter of 2013 were 21.7 million tons and 86.0 million tons for the full year. That compares to 23.6 million tons for the fourth quarter of 2012 and 90.6 million tons for the full year 2012. Fourth quarter shipments were negatively impacted by unanticipated delays in rail service as well as an early winter storm in the first part of October.
