Fitch echoes 'slow' comments made here recently by a veteran utility coal buyer

Utility coal buyers have expressed concern about it, and now a prominent credit rating firm has weighed in -slow growth in U.S. power demand. Fitch said its view is that the expected small increases in U.S. electricity usage will add to the financial pressure on some power entities. The Energy Information Administration projects through 2040 a 0.6 percent increase in consumption for industry, 0.7 percent for residences.
