Sounds familiar: Big Green groups vow to fight coal exports from the land down under

Australia's largest environmental group, the Wilderness Society, has joined Greenpeace in its campaign to stop coal mining and coal-burning and "vowed to keep fossil fuels in the ground and out of the atmosphere". The society traditionally focused on protecting wildlife, native forests, bush reserves and the natural environment but has now turned its attention to keeping "globally significant" reserves of coal in the ground by halting large projects proposed in wilderness areas.
