Illinois Basin market improving but prices staying flat with plenty of coal available

The big questions coming out of the Illinois Basin haven't had much to do with supply (there's lots of it) or demand (there's lots of that, too) but with pricing. Illinois Basin prices dipped earlier in the year but have been more or less stable for a quarter or so with a low-end of about $38/ton and a high-end of about $43/ton with most of the sales falling somewhere in between the two numbers.
