Big Green groups going after state of Louisiana for issuing permit to RAM Terminals

Back in October the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources issued a coastal use permit to RAM Terminals to to build a coal and petcoke export terminal on the Mississippi River in Plaquemines Parish. That has led to a lawsuit being filed against the state's DNR. The terminal will create not only construction jobs but is expected to employee 150 fulltime workers when it is up and running. Some local residents, spurred on by environmentalists, say jobs aren't as important as a wetlands project that is ongoing in the same area.
