Plastic-polymer park likely for Mangaluru

UNION Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Ananth Kumar has said that the Centre is ready to set up a plastic and polymer park in Mangaluru if the State government provided land for it. Speaking at a programme recently he said that the proposed park would need 150 acres of land and an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore. The park could provide employment to around 20,000 people. He urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to allocate land for the proposed park in Mangaluru. If the State government allocates the land, work on the project will begin immediately, he said.
