Hexcel's HiTape bags JEC innovation award for aerospace

HEXCEL Corporation, a leading advanced composites company, has won the JEC Innovation Award for Aerospace at JEC Europe 2015, accompanied by award partners Stelia Aerospace, Coriolis Composites, and CompositeAdour. The four companies collaborated on the design, manufacture, and testing of a self-stiffened fuselage panel demonstrator made with Hexcel's HiTape. The panel demonstrates that HiTape meets the performance requirements for aircraft primary structures, including damage tolerance, Hexcel said in a press release.
