Poland imported 5.9 million mt of hard coal in the first threequarters of this year, an increase of 4% year on year, according tofigures released by the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) Tuesday.In January-September, thermal coal imports reached 4.3 million mt,with 3.6 million mt sourced from Russia, up 9% on-year. Medium andlarger lumped coal used for heating plants and household heatingneeds accounted for about 60% of all the imports from Russia.
