The Europe-delivered CIF ARA thermal coal futures marketmade significant gains across the curve following a buoyant tradingsession Thursday, with stronger buying interest and still firm crude oilproviding some support to futures prices.Platts assessed the CIF ARA front quarter Q3-16 at $45.65/mt,$1.50 higher on the day, while the Cal-17 contract was at $43.30/mt,an $1.35 increase.
