Softer Indonesian thermal coal prices were attracting buying interest from India and China for specific grades, but trades were limited ahead of Lunar New Year holidays, sources said Wednesday. A Singapore-based trader said he had not traded coal with a calorific value between 3,400 kcal/kg GAR and 3,800 kcal/ kg GAR to India for some time, adding he was getting more inquiries for 4,200-5,000 kcal/kg GAR coal.
