Although demand for low-vol and high-vol A met coals remains moribund, high-vol B and mid-vol activity is more healthy with Australian coals failing to lure buyers away from the US, traders said Wednesday. One Central European trader said indicated price levels for US met coal have not moved much in recent weeks and there is no demand that he has seen other than some inquiries about US low-vol, with offers from miners there around $108-$110/mt FOB USEC.
