The Asian spot met coal market saw softer signals Friday, coinciding with news out of Beijing that China has lowered its growth target for gross domestic product to around 7% for 2015, decelerating from the 7.4% expansion last year. Participants said the new 2015 GDP guidance was an indicator of sluggish steel and raw materials consumption for the rest of this year.
