CSX now expects fewer coal carloads for 2015: CFO

Coal carload volumes traveling CSX rails this year will be lower than the company first projected in January, CFO Fredrik Eliasson said Wednesday. Eliasson, during a presentation at the Barclays Industrial Select Conference in Miami, Florida, that was broadcast online, said the railroad is now estimating at least a 5% drop in coal carloads for 2015, down from an initial assessment on January 14 of a relatively flat volume year-over-year.
