China’s Henan produces 135 million mt coal in 2014, down 12% on-year

Henan province, a major coal producer in central China, produced 135.21 million mt of coal in 2014, down 11.8% from 2013, according to data released Friday by the Henan Administration of Coal Mine Safety. During the same period, key mines — owned by the provincial government or branches of central governmentowned companies — produced 127.97 million mt of coal, slipping 9.1% on-year.
