S Africa’s Universal Coal achieves record high coal output at Kangala

South African junior miner Universal Coalannounced Tuesday it had achieved record high run-of-mineproduction of 712,198 mt from its Kangala Colliery in theWitbank coalfield during April-June.The output was 51% higher on the year and hadincreased 33% on the previous quarter, which Universalattributed to transitioning to roll-over operations, improvedmining fleet availability, better operational controls andadditional machinery from the mining contractor.
