Asia-Pacific spot market quiet on low demand interest in China

The Asia-Pacific spot market was relativelyquiet Tuesday with most Chinese participants not exhibitingmuch strong demand interest.Platts assessed premium low vol CFR and HCC 64 mid volCFR China steady at $88/mt and $81.75/mt, respectively.Some market participants felt that supply for top-tiermaterials could put some downside risk for the prime hardsegment. Most offers however, remained mostly unchanged forpremium low vol HCCs with above 68% CSR at $88-$89/mt CFRChina while buyers still adopted a mostly wait-and-see attitude.
