Beacon Hill’s rolling stock for Minas Moatize coking coal mine completed

London—Beacon Hill Resources said Thursday the rolling stock for use on the Sena line between its Minas Moatize coking coal mine and the port of Beira in Mozambique had been completed and were expected to arrive in Beira during Q1-2014. The AIM-and ASX-listed coal producer said in a statement this was “significant progress” to transporting coking coal from the Tete coalfields to Beira. It said five purpose-built diesel locomotives had been made by RRLGrindrod in South Africa, while Transnet Engineering had purpose built 90 open-top rail wagons.
