ICE coal futures rise to 8-month high of 152.5 million mt in June

The total volume of coal traded and cleared onthe ICE Futures platform during June rose 52% on the monthand 20% year-on-year to an eight-month high of 152.5 million mt, energy exchange ICE Futures Europe andelectronic trading platform globalCOAL said in their monthlyreport Wednesday.Of the total, the ICE Rotterdam coal futures monthlyvolume climbed 46% from May to 114.7 million mt worth ofcoal traded and cleared, also an eight-month high and an 8%increase compared to the same month in 2013.
