Japan’s Tohoku Electric Power and mining giantGlencore have settled the benchmark annual contract pricefor Australian thermal coal for delivery from October 1, 2014to September 30, 2015, at $73.85/mt FOB, basis 6,322 kcal/kgGAR, a trading company source said Monday.Tohoku Electric declined to comment, but sources fromthree other Japanese power utilities said a settlement hadbeen reached between Tohoku and Glencore. They could notconfirm the price, however.
