Komipo awards spot contracts for Indonesian coal

Manila—Korea Midland Power (Komipo) has awarded spot contracts for three Panamax shipments of Indonesian coal for May-June 2013 delivery. The utility awarded contracts to Chubu Energy, Macquarie and Mercuria for one Panamax shipment each. Komipo had sought 4,600 kcal/kg NAR coal in either three 70,000 mt Panamax vessels, or two 70,000 mt shipments and one 90,000 mt cargo.
