Indonesia’s Bumi Resources swings to H1 loss of $232 million

Manila — Indonesia’s Bumi Resources, Asia’s biggest ther- mal coal exporter, on Tuesday reported a loss of $231.7 mil- lion in H1 2012 compared with a profit of $322.1 million in the same period a year ago. Bumi said in a statement that its selling price for coal in the first half was $88.45/mt, 3.2% lower than the average selling price in H1 2011.
