Singapore — Spot prices of metallurgical coal in Asia ended the week on a steady note, with bids and offers in China heard either side of current prices, but a lack of spot appetite fueled a generally bearish mood in the market. Platts assessed Premium Low Vol unchanged at $180.50/ mt FOB Australia, $1.50/mt lower than a week earlier. Second-tier HCC eased by $0.50/mt to $157/mt FOB, down $0.50/mt on-week.
