Shandong eyes 200 million mt/year coal mining capacity by 2015

Shandong Energy Group, the largest coal miner in eastern China’s Shandong Province, said it aims to increase its mining capacity to 200 million mt/year by 2015. Shandong Energy also plans to raise its combined installed capacity to 13,000 MW by 2015, general manager Bu Changsen said at a press conference Sunday. Construction work on a 5,000 MW power generation project in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, is slated to begin later this year.
