Manila — Indonesian thermal coal prices continued to head south Friday as market participants said they see no short-term end to the downside in Kalimantan steam coal prices with major players announcing no production cuts to arrest the fall. Market players contacted by Platts said they were not aware of any fresh spot deals finalized for Kalimantan coal in the last few days, while a few complained that buyers and sellers were in a cat-and-mouse game in relation to price bids and offers.
