CiF aRa prompt market ends five-day bull-run to slip 70 cents

London — The European-delivered CIF ARA market took a breather and stepped back 70 cents Friday after a five-day bull- run, pressured by bearish macroeconomics, as the stream of October-delivery trades seen for most of the week continued. A 50,000 mt generic-origin DES Amsterdam-Rotterdam deal traded at $91/mt via the globalCOAL screen during the morning session with exchange of futures for physical terms attached. It was the fourth such deal over as many days this week.
