London - The European-delivered CIF ARA physical thermalcoal market traded at a 19-month low Thursday, although pric-es halted their three-day decline to tick up 50 cents, influencedby marginally higher API2 (CIF ARA) financial derivatives.A 50,000 mt generic-origin cargo for June Rotterdam-delivery went through the globalCOAL screen at $93.15/mt, with exchange of futures for physical terms attached.The deal was 20 cents higher than the Platts daily 90-dayprice assessment Wednesday of $92.95/mt – a 19-month low –and 35 cents higher than the prompt-month June assessment.The trade was also $2.10 below the last June deal seen,done at $95.25/mt last week.
