PVC import assessments held stable in Peru but dropped in Brazil, as offer levels in Peru remained flat and weak demand continued to impact the Brazilian import market, sources said. In Peru, import pricing was flat week on week at $855-$865/mt CFR basis, following stable offers from the US, sources said. US-origin offers were talked at the $870-$880/mt range for a third consecutive week. Participants in Peru, Bolivia and Colombia said pricing for June was holding steady, a regional distributor said. At least one US-based trader pegged offer levels at $870-$880, slightly higher for the week. Demand has been bearish along the West Coast of South America throughout the second quarter of 2015 but recently took a turn amid falling US pricing, sources said. US pricing declined again this week, falling $5/mt to $775/mt FAS Houston for the 11th consecutive week-on-week fall.
