NWE PVC producers target rollover or increase despite falling feedstock

London -Momentum is gathering among Northwest European polyvinyl chloride producers to keep January contract prices stable and rebuke the Eur27.50/mt ($30/mt) fall in the January contract price of feedstock ethylene. A rollover is definite, one producer said Wednesday. “There is no room for negotiation,” the producer said. French producer Kemone was the first to signal its intentions. “Kemone will increase its [suspension grade] PVC prices by Eur10/mt this month...For the sake of good order, we want to emphasise Kemone has no availability issues,” a company official said in an email to journalists Thursday.
