In Peru, the injection assessment fell $20/mt from December 16 to $1,155-$1,165/mt CFR, similar to film assessed $20/mt lower over the same span at $1,155-$1,165/mt CFR, while blowmolding was down $20/mt since December 16 at an assessment of $1,135-$1,145/ mt CFR basis. Platts did not assess prices in the last two weeks of December in observance of the end of the year holidays. All three grades saw lower US-origin offers, sources said. Despite lower pricing, market activity was heard thin throughout the region as buyers and sellers were slow to return from the year end holidays. Still, market sentiment was that HD grades were still competitive and available from the US.
