Homo injection prices fell $40 to $930/mt CFR North Africa. Slow demand weighed on prices through the end of December and into early January, a trade source said. “Africa’s economy is not doing great, in a couple of weeks I expect decreases again,” a trade source said. Offers from Asia were expected to decrease coming into January but had increased on an uptick in demand within the continent. The South Asia polypropylene raffia marker rose $20/mt on the week to $860/mt as demand surged amid low inventories among end-users and limited offers from Middle East producers. End-users were heard to be restocking as they had relatively low inventory and expected prices to rise ahead.
