High-density polyethylene import assessments in Latin America rose this week, tracking upticks in key regions. In Peru, HDPE grades were assessed $5/mt higher Wednesday at $1,290-$1,300/mt CFR basis. Offers for Asia-origin material were seen up to $20/mt higher week on week for West Coast South America markets. Participants in Peru and Chile pegged pricing in the $1,300/mt level and above, although no deals were heard at those levels.
