US linear-low density export prices were firmer on the week as some grades saw continued tightness, resulting in higher offer levels from sellers. LLDPE butene was assessed Wednesday at $1,146-$1,168/mt (52- 53 cents/lb) FAS Houston, up $33/mt week on week. Butene, in particular, continued to be talked tight by some in the market, resulting in rail car pricing to traders in the high 40s-low 50s cents/lb range. LLDPE hexene prices were assessed at $1,190-$1,212/mt (54-55 cents/lb) FAS Houston, up $33/mt, while metallocene was up $11/mt at $1,224- $1,246/mt (55.5-56.5 cents/lb) FAS Houston.
