PP spot prices jumped Eur60 on the week to Eur1,010/mt FD NWE, on a combination of restocking by converters and uptick in spot propylene prices. Feedstock propylene was trading at Eur740/mt FD NWE Wednesday, up Eur15 since the beginning of the month. “PP spot prices have bottomed out and are now going up,” a producer said. PP spot prices had fallen into triple digits in mid-January for the first time in more than five years following the oil price plunge.
