April GPPS contracts were assessed at Eur1,595/mt FD NWE and Eur1,675/mt for HIPS, both up Eur300 on the week and on the month. Polystyrene producers Wednesday announced April monthly price increases of Eur315-Eur320/mt in polystyrene general purpose prices. Styrolution said it was increasing GPPS prices by Eur315/ mt, while Trinseo said it will increase prices by Eur320/ mt.
