Northwest European butadiene prices were assessed at Eur619/mt ($664/mt) FD NWE, flat on the week, and at $638/mt FOB ARA Friday down a marginal $2 on the week. No cargoes were seen exported out of Europe this week and spot deals within the European markets were also not heard. A force majeure at Shell’s Dutch Moerdijk cracker led to three digit gains in the spot prices of olefins ethylene and propylene.
