Braskem, South America’s largest petrochemical producer, had yet to restart operations at its ABC complex in Sao Paulo, which was hit by a fire earlier this month, the company said Friday. The shutdown includes propylene production estimated at 300,000 mt/year and 800,000 mt/year of polypropylene production, Braskem said. The company has not set a date for the restart of operations, a Braskem spokeswoman said.
