The Northwest European spot market for polypropylene surged from last week on the back of tight supply exacerbated by Shell Chemical’s force majeure at its Moerdijk cracker in the Netherlands. Homo injection spot prices were assessed at Eur1,180/mt FD NWE, up Eur80/ mt on the week, while copolymer spot prices were assessed at Eur1,210/mt FD NWE, up Eur60/mt.
