Asian low density polyethylene was assessed down $15/mt week on week at $1,125/mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday on weak demand. Traders and end-users were reluctant to take long positions on the chance that fundamentals would later limit their ability to move resins. Sources said LDPE demand growth may get eroded with its constant premium over LLDPE, and that converters would try to use more LLDPE in the resin formulation because of the lower prices.
