European paraxylene dropped $32 from Thursday to be assessed Friday at $725/mt FOB ARA in line with the prices in Asia and on low spot demand. Europe origin PX has been sold into Asia in March with no such spot deals heard within Europe. In Asia, PX dropped $32/mt dayon- day to be assessed Friday at $827/mt CFR Taiwan/ China. A 5,000 mt Europe origin cargo which is currently headed to Asia was heard sold at $720/mt FOB ARA but this could not be confirmed by the trader who shipped the cargo.
