Asian purified terephthalic acid prices continued on the uptrend, edging up $17/mt week on week to $590/mt CFR China, $612/mt CFR Southeast Asia and $617/mt CFR India Friday. Prices of physical PTA spot cargoes tracked bullish PTA futures and crude through the week. A marked improvement in demand was seen from polyester manufacturers.
