Asian paraxylene fell $32/mt day on day to $805/mt FOB Korea and $827/mt CFR Taiwan/China Friday, with the fall in crude futures pushing down discussion levels. Front-month May ICE Brent futures fell $1.22/barrel to $58.02/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). Feedstock isomer-MX also fell $18/mt to $689/mt FOB Korea and $11/mt CFR Taiwan. Many participants were worried about the future of new downstream purified terephthalic acid projects as current economic outlook was uncertain.
