Propylene in Asia continued its decline as sentiments remained bearish and demand weakened on expectations of more availability within the next few weeks. Propylene fell $20/mt week on week to $1,020/mt CFR China. According to sources buyers have been holding back their purchases as they await sales from China’s Ningbo Oriental Energy’s 660,000 mt/year propane dehydrogenation unit.
