London — Russian chemicals production remained stable last year, according to the latest data by Russian statistics body Rosstat, with relatively strong results in the first quarter offset by steady declines in the rest of the year. The steepest year-on-year fall in chemical production happened in July, when it contracted by 8.2% in the wake of international sanctions.
