US spot styrene jumped 2.25 cents on the week, assessed Friday at 42 cents/lb FOB USG, tracking higher European styrene prices and as spot supply in the US tightened, sources said. At least 50,000-60,000 mt of styrene was loaded out of the US to Asia in January and February, and at least another 20,000-30,000 mt of styrene was loaded during the same time period for shipping to Europe, sources said.
