US spot styrene prices fell 0.5 cent for the week, assessed Friday at 53.50 cents/lb FOB USG, tracking lower European styrene spot prices for May. The arbitrage to Europe remained open this week, but sources said the US market was quiet due to little supply available for April and due to ongoing industry events. Any material booked to Europe would not arrive there until May due to delays on the US Gulf Coast, specifically the Houston Ship Channel, sources said.
