The African polystyrene market was assessed stable this week, with no fresh and firm indications heard from the region. Some sources said prices were as low as Eur980/mt ($1,108/mt), but these reports were not corroborated by the rest of the market. Both GPPS and HIPS prices were still hovering at a premium to Turkey and NWE, but the differential had now narrowed.
