Polypropylene import pricing decreased in Brazil and Peru as offer levels from abroad pushed key markets lower, sources said. In Peru, CFR assessments fell $15/mt week on week, with homopolymer grade material assessed at $1,445-$1,455/mt CFR basis and co-polymer at $1,475-$1,485/mt CFR, as offer levels from Asia were stable to lower, sources said. Deep-sea India-origin was heard offered at $1,440/mt, but those shipping dates were not until late July with a West Coast delivery of August. Offers from key regions including the Middle East and Asia continued to be talked scarce throughout the second quarter of 2015. In CFR Far East Asia, polypropylene fell $35/mt week on week, as major producers lowered offers amid weak demand in China. Market participants have watched Asia-origin pricing fall and have anticipated lower priced material throughout this month.
